I was delighted to hear of, and then be invited to join the Wild Mountains Collective as I have been involved in environmental issues for many years, first as an active member of ASLE – the Association for Literature and the Environment which was founded in the USA but has since become an international association with a branch in Australia and New Zealand ASLECANZ, and second as a founding member of Kangaloon creative ecologies.

Kangaloon has many similarities to the Wild Mountain Collective with a brief to respond with vision, hope and love to ecological degradation and the diminishment of life.I am a nature writer and look forward to organising some talks and discussions with my fellow members.

I am also a keen gardener and am in the process of designing a multi-species garden around my home in Wentworth Falls, with habitat for a range of birds, reptiles and insects.
